How ChinTea Got Started

Chin-tea Studio was born in 2020 — a moment of global pause that called for stillness. Founder Franco Li grew up in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, the heartland of Pu'er tea, learning the craft under his grandfather's guidance from a young age. After relocating to Toronto in 2013, he saw a growing hunger for authentic tea experiences and knew it was time.

We pride ourselves on our access to Yunnan's abundant tea resources, offering an exceptional range of Pu'er teas. Our selection transcends the typical, featuring not only renowned and aged teas but also high-quality offerings from lesser-known, yet extraordinary, tea mountains. Our direct sourcing model ensures that our customers enjoy the very best teas without the intermediary markups.
